Welcome to The Veteran Archives podcast with Bill Krieger
Our Mission:
Storytelling is the oldest form of communication, with some researchers arguing that its origins can be traced back to cave drawings. Our ancestors used stories as a means of communicating ideas through simple pictures and symbols. Through storytelling, we transfer knowledge, making it one of the most important traditions to the survival of the human species. This is especially true for Military Veterans, regardless of when or where they served. Veterans Archives allows Veterans to tell and preserve their stories for their families, friends, and future generations. This is accomplished through the recording and archiving of the stories of individual Military Veterans in a safe and comfortable environment.
Each Veteran tells and records their story in their own words and voices using a guided interview. Their story is then provided to them on a memory card in a presentation box. They are free to use this however they choose. The stories are also stored in our secure archive for use by future generations. This is all free of charge to the Veteran.
If you are a Veteran or know a Veteran who would like to preserve and share their story, please click here and submit a request form.
Veterans Archives is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) that relies on donations to fund the recording and preserving of these stories. If you would like to support us in this important work, please click on our donation page.
